I was hoping at the end of a movie he'd turn around to his crew and say "We must keep sailing. This man's sad story about a monster he created has shown to me that scientific progress fucking slaps and we must keep pushing through, no matter how much it costs us"

I'd say he's more articulate and tame in his remarks.
Kirk would be openly on stage being like "Yes, kill all brown people"
whereas Chomsky is more "it's unfortunate that these brown people died, but they were in a X's sphere of influence"

It sucks that in effect all three are the same, and trying to figure out which one can still be pulled out of this crap is almost pointless

also I had NO IDEA how horny this movie was gonna be in its first 20 minutes.

I fucking loved Sean Penn as the antagonist Lockjaw. What a great perfomance. Like you can just see the difference between him and Leo. Leo just screams at every turn "Look at how hard I'm acting!" whereas Penn is able to just BE the character

I think the movie is a bit underwhelming in its climax. I kinda expected a bigger final showdown at the end.
I also think that Di Caprio's perfomance is very forced and I am kinda tired of his acting style. He just doesn't do it for me
