This is brilliant news, and also shows why the Labour Party wants to abolish most trials by jury, and how important it is they don't get away with it:

Congratulations to the six!

But also this really underlines the danger of long running periods of the UK govt imprisoning activists on remand while they sow malicious narratives about them in the media. Thank goodness they were all acquitted.
A truly hideous right wing smear campaign against these six activists for exercising their free speech rights to protest - and confronted with the evidence all six have been acquitted.

None of the six activists were convicted of any offence over break-in at Elbit Systems factory near Bristol in 2024

That game literally couldn’t have ended in a better or funnier way. Whole stadium screaming “Havertz” while the Chelsea fans jam up the exits.

The Mail care so much about women's sport they can't even get the score of the match right - it was 3-2 after extra time. It finished 2-2 at normal time.
This is the Mail.

Both the Times and the Mail spend a lot of time and money telling us regularly how much they care about women and girls in sport.

Just only when a trans person is involved, it seems.

After years of our press hand-wringing about the figures as from the "Hamas run health ministry". Utterly shameful. But will we learn anything, hold anyone accountable for our enabling of genocide? Of course not.
Israel accepts health authorities’ Gaza death toll is broadly accurate, saying 70,000 have died
Israeli military’s abrupt U-turn in accepting official figures comes after years of attacking data as ‘Hamas propaganda’

A friend of mine, Matthew Barry, asked me to reflect and write on what's been going on in the Twin Cities, and how it intersects with the football culture I'm a part of here.

So I did that.

Here it is, for #HeartOfAFan.

UK anti-trans journalism is the twisted baby of UK anti-vax journalism and UK anti-gay journalism, with a sprinkling of tactics from UK anti-immigrant and UK anti-traveller journalism
I wasn't aware the anti-vax stuff originated in the UK till I saw hbomberguy's big video on it, and man was I getting constant deja vu with how the UK media reported on the anti-vax nonsense and how they report on trans people. Uncritically pushing junk science to harm people.

How nauseatingly British.

AND an arsenal women 6-0 for the evening
January 29, 2026 at 12:16 AM
essentially my view of tonight is: i dont think it needs to be deeped that much. yes the scoreline doesnt reflect the match, but i havent got loads of massive issues with the way a heavily rotated arsenal thar finished with 2 academy lads/3 teenagers played
January 29, 2026 at 12:12 AM
LOVED havertz’s cameo however - I was wondering whether we’d see him at RCM more after the portsmouth match
January 28, 2026 at 11:56 PM
ive not really got much defensively to say considering the rotation - calafiori hasnt played in over a month and made a stupid foul leading to a pen and for the second white shouldve closed down for the cross and hincapie was poor defending the back post
