Genuine privilege to be at Australia vs USA tonight - an absolutely cracking game of rugby.

The players put in a huge shift afterwards meeting and chatting with fans. Particular props to a hurting Samantha Wood, who nonetheless did the rounds and had a little natter with us. Did herself proud.
It's happened again, lads...

The ARL 44 medium tank was envisioned in 1944 as a way for France to return to tank design after a hiatus during German occupation. This tank was shown to the public #OTD in 1951 during the Bastille Day parade. #tanks #history

The Germans were unsatisfied with the reliability of the King Tiger, particularly its gearbox. Bench trials of the PP33 gearbox that would be able to handle the tank's bulk were completed successfully #OTD in 1944, but it was never installed in a real tank. #tanks #history #WW2 #WWII

May Memorial Day be whatever you need it to be. A day of remembrance, memorial, sharing of the past, or even just reconnection. Take care of yourself and others please. All the best from an aging USMC vet.

I don't typically post YouTube content, and you can skip through the video (it's kind of long), but you need to see what this Chinese indy watchmaker is doing with these movements. This is #horology at its 2025 best:
