Personally, I would not be bothered if an American or other non-Brit took the role. As long as they were the right fit for Bond and whatever vision the producers have.

I would like the reboot to start just after WW2, but I doubt it will happen

People who suggest actors in their 50s for the next James Bond really annoy me. We are a year or two away from production starting, and we all want a series of several films.

So, the new Bond clearly needs to be in their 30s, or maybe even late 20s if we reboot his career pre-spy

2 And are they wine flavoured?

Again, no

But they have port, claret and sherry written on them?

Err, yes

But they are not wine flavoured?

No, just fruit

French person walks off shaking their head!

1 Explaining Wine Gums to a French person:

Are they like chewing gum?

No

But they have gum in the name

Yes I know, but they are just sweets like Haribo

Mag and I went to a couple of the exhibitions at this year's Bayeux Calvados-Normandy Award for war correspondents event. Whatever our feelings about politics, it's important to acknowledge the role of journalists covering conflicts around the World

I am beginning the journey of "processing" my best bud Colin's passing yesterday. It was on the cards - cancer of the oesophagus is one of the shittiest ones, but we were hopeful, especially after he had a brief upturn 3 weeks ago.

I'll miss you mate, the beers, the gigs, the war talk and the craic
