There are no consequences to being in the Epstein Files.
Most media headlines right now are like "We are laying off 2/3 of our staff and also the president is our ombudsman now" but somehow David Brooks got two new jobs in one day

Cancer, which we hate, yet again robbing us of what we love (in this case @dhm.bsky.social). RIP. 😪

May you cast your acerbic wit down from the sky upon the next 76ers collapse, Dan (which your journalism would teach us is never too far off).

Trump literally has a cartoon supervillain scheme to steal money from BABIES and mainstream media is like “Trump officials say it could be worth $500,000!” with no trace of irony or fact checking. Your country is off the cliff. Best of luck if you’re stupid enough to give him money.

There's *well* under 100K American World War II veterans still alive. I don't at all think it's cause-and-effect, but I don't think it's purely accidental that we find ourselves at this morality crossroad now.

Lest We ForGOT.
After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

If the President dies in office (or even if he just dies out of office in his late 90s in 2040s), the avaricious backstabbing will be out of control. Miller won't give up the ship but also will not invoke the volume-based fanaticism of his avatar. And it will be shivs galore (possibly literally).
Genuinely interesting. Kristi Noem is snitching that Stephen Miller is the one who made up the bullshit about Alex Pretti.

It would be genuinely useful if Congress can get her to admit that he has been dictating ALL OF THIS just like he dictated the murderboats.

The Canadian rule of law has held up much better against the forces of partisanship than many other western democracies.

We should *not* take for granted that this will always be so.

I'll reiterate: If there *is* a fairly adjudicated 2028 Election, the Democrat with the best chance to win it is a current unknown. Progressive *or* centrist, doesn't matter.

A random outsider with enough resources of publicity that gets angry enough & communicates it authentically will win.
Just once I'd like to see Schumer or Jeffries angry. Authentically angry. No elegance or solutions are necessary, but purely reactive or instinctive. Some indication that they feel -- that they are capable of feeling -- what we are feeling.

And to think, a lot of powerful media orgs made a big to-do about a "tea party" protest down the street from my office that would have been dwarfed by a Dragon*Con parade. 🙄
National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.

Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.

I have friends in two states who've witnessed (or directly experienced) the negative impact of Whitten's toadying. Eggball obscures a lot.
Of course, there's no mention of the 200+ degree programs she cut or consolidated to help pay for this historic football win (by tripling the football budget).

This isn't new. Multiple leaders openly mocked President's fitness at NATO meetings during the first term. No one (that mattered) was embarrassed. Nothing happened.

The President could have a stroke on camera after defecating & flinging it during a meeting as his pants ripped. Nothing will happen.
Danish Parliament Deputy Speaker Lars-Christian Brask:

"If I could come with some advice, it would be for the Senate & House to start to take control of political power in America because with this erratic & mad behaviour, you have to ask the question, is the President capable of running the US?"

Playing the American national anthem before a Vikings/Timberwolves/Twins/Wild road game stands as an act of aggression from the host team right now, doesn't it?

And then there are the numbers the Eagles' *opponents* endure...

I know this shouldn't be my takeaway but...if it's *WHISKEY* Fridays, I hardly see what Jack Daniel's has to do with it...
New: CBS News seems to be preparing a new segment called "Whiskey Fridays with Tony Dokoupil," per sources.

Some staff were only first made aware of it as they encountered CBS testing out set designs of a faux-stocked bar in the newsroom, featuring a large sponsor banner for Jack Daniels.
