No, costs are not way down. In fact, costs are way up. Groceries. Basic goods. Tariffs on small businesses are breaking them. Many of us won’t be able to afford healthcare next year. And most of us are anxious about how we’re going to pay or mortgage or rent. What a liar.

it is almost as if someone was promoted beyond their ability
“I’ve been hearing that standards will be eliminated or severely cut back. Bari has told people that she wants to get rid of standards and is shocked that they have so much power. She also asked openly, ‘What’s the point of standards?’” one CBS source said.

This concentration camp was opened at Fort Bliss, the site of a former Japanese internment camp.

It also cost over $1B in private contracts to build in a place meant to hold 1000 people. So, basically it’s a fascist grift.

In early 2024, @iwriteok.bsky.social said to me that the best thing to make a show bigger would be to get a big scoop. I said something along the lines of “I have no idea how I’d do that.”

On Halloween, dressed as Fox Mulder, I messaged him that I got one, and tomorrow I get to share it.

Like, weirdly, if Trump only selected *certain* presidents based on particular criteria, that would honestly make more sense.

But this is just…all of ‘em?

Like, “walk of fame”, insofar as that’s still a thing, traditionally denotes a selection of people who were *famous* in a particular way.

But presidents are elected officials, and a thing any schoolchild can look up in their government book? Heck, some elementary schools have them on the wall.

Wait, so the “walk of fame” is just…the presidents?

Why…call that a walk of fame?
Trump: Take a look at this if you want to see detail. Most people do a sign and paint it on the wall. So that's half inch thick bronze. Carved. By a very talented person. And it's brass. It's pure brass.

The sheer number of people Trump pardoned — 1,500+ — and the magnitude of violence many (most?) of them committed means it is statistically likely that a fair number will be revidivists, potentially for more egregious crimes. The pardons should be a top story EVERY DAY
Welcome to “justice” in Donald Trump’s America.
