Worked in the movie biz for many years. Politically progressive. Cranky. Judgmental. This does not make me wrong. I’m an Oscar voter, too. And I review theater and dance for politicsmoneyculture.com. After Trump's election I say, Don’t get mad. Get even.

My take as a Californian is that we, the world’s fifth largest economy, should refuse to do any business with red states. They need our technology, agriculture, and ports more than we need anything from them. They vilify us, vote against our views, then take our money. To hell with them.

Yes, you can be anti-Maduro AND critical of what Trump’s done—especially since he’s now leaving that regime in place without Maduro. And Trump’s threatening to take his vanity bully project to other countries. This will not end well. It’s not even going well now.

Will Sen. Cassidy initiate impeachment proceedings against RFK Jr? Of course, no. Republican demagoguery and hegemony is his priority.

The greatest crisis in the U.S. today is the divide between the rule of law and the rule of the lawless.
Bernie Sanders: "Trump ignores the Constitution and the Rule of Law. The Constitution is clear. Congress controls War Powers.

I strongly support a War Powers Resolution."

I wish it would, but what makes anyone think that elected Republicans will do the right thing – ever?
I think the Greenland threat is a troll. I think.

But it would sure be nice for some senators and GOP house members to speak up now and make it clear that an attack on a nato ally would lead to removal from office

Pay attention, class.
Trump's actions in Venezuela fit with his desire to divert attention from his failures at home: his losses in the courts, his unpopular budget bill, skyrocketing health insurance premiums, the cost of living crisis, etc.

When he feels humiliated, he gets reckless.

Understand what's going on.

Another example of the rule of law vs. the rule of the lawless. A new one every day. (Collect ‘em all.)
Congress has the power and responsibility to authorize the use of military force and declare war. Congress has a duty of oversight. Congress must serve as a check, not a rubber stamp, to the President.

The fact that Maduro is a dictator who committed grave abuses does not suspend the Constitution.

Denmark has said an attack on Greenland would be the end of NATO.

But NATO is already dead, the USA will not defend anybody else, and they have already stated this many times.

I am v curious to know what big oil companies will invest in Venezuela now or ever again. They know that the U.S. must commit to 30-50 years of substantial “involvement” there and that this is unsustainable. No one will risk billions for Trump’s Folly. Period.
