I was right not to watch PBS’s Jack & Alice when it first came out. I hated the end, found Alice insufferable and couldn’t bear to see Jack suffer. Not feel good fare. Love to Domhnall Gleeson forever but nope.

I really cannot imagine going to all the trouble of getting elected to the Senate only to get there and decide not to stand up for healthcare, or democracy, or people’s ability to afford their lives. If those things aren’t worth fighting for, then truly what is?
