Trump’s disastrous tariffs have raised prices on everyday essentials, and now he’s trying to clean up the mess.

Sec. Bessent can’t fix reckless policy with a Fox News interview. Working families deserve real economic leadership, not chaos and backtracking.

Buried in here: UMC pastors in Chicago told me they were going to keep doing this for a wide spectrum of Methodists who have legal battles amid the ongoing mass deportation effort in the city — immigrant families, pastors who have been arrested, etc.

Some serious denominational solidarity here.
NEW: So, the courtroom at the "Broadview 6" arraignment in Chicago yesterday featured lotsa Methodist pastors.

Why? They were supporters of defendant/fellow Methodist Brian Straw.

"If you come for one United Methodist, you have come for all of us,” one pastor said. religionnews.com/2025/11/13/m...

The “clean CR” proves Republicans’ focus isn’t on you—it’s on billionaires and January 6th insurrectionists.

Families deserve leaders who will fight to lower healthcare costs, not politicians who want to line their own pockets.

If it was clean, why do we have another vote?

🔍 Additional Epstein emails raise more serious questions about Trump. In one email, serial predator Jeffrey Epstein says no one was "as bad as Trump."

Read them for yourself, and you be the judge:

to be clear: the age of consent in all 50 states of America ranges from 16-18. 15 is not "barely legal" anywhere. It is illegal.

After between 16-18, any dynamic could still be predatory but the idea of these conservative ghouls creating striations below the legal limit is absolutely gross.

You probably saw videos of a nighttime raid in Chicago. Agents rappelling from a helicopter, bursting down doors, questioning brown-skinned immigrants.

We investigated -- and found little evidence to support the government’s claims about Tren de Aragua.

Authorities said Tren de Aragua “terrorists” had taken over the building. A ProPublica investigation found little evidence to back up the government’s claims. For the first time, the Venezuelans arres...

New: Google has chosen a side in Trump's mass deportation campaign. Google is hosting a CBP facial recognition app to hunt immigrants; no indication Google will remove. At same time Google takes down apps for reporting ICE sightings

The Republican president is a pedophile who has doubled my healthcare costs and let scores of violent criminals out of jail. But a Democratic mayor-elect wants to make busses free in a city I don't live in. I have never felt more politically homeless.

Missed paychecks, empty cupboards, and late payment penalties—these are real consequences of the dysfunction in D.C.

Today, I signed an emergency order to help ensure Wisconsinites who are struggling and facing homelessness or an energy crisis can access the help they need.

Finally.

Now, Mike Johnson needs to bring a vote to the floor to #ReleaseTheFiles.

Epstein’s victims and the American people deserve the truth.
More than seven weeks after her special election victory, Adelita Grijalva stood on the House floor and took the oath of office Wednesday, marking the end of a bitter standoff with Speaker Mike Johnson, who had refused to seat her during the record government shutdown.

If Pete Hegseth believed in prioritizing merit in the military, he would have stepped down a long time ago.

I’m proud to stand in a long line of badass women who have served or are currently serving their country, even when people like Pete Hegseth refuse to give us equal opportunity to lead.
Exclusive: ‘She was the best man for the job’: Hegseth’s policies are forcing qualified women out of the military | CNN Politics
Active service women and men who spoke to CNN say that goals Hegseth laid out often don’t make sense and will damage the military.

Can everyone stop pretending that the new CBS is in the news business, and admit that it’s a post-truth propagandistic organization, now that they openly admit it?
“I’ve been hearing that standards will be eliminated or severely cut back. Bari has told people that she wants to get rid of standards and is shocked that they have so much power. She also asked openly, ‘What’s the point of standards?’” one CBS source said.

For that matter, the ACA marketplaces literally allow you to “negotiate your own insurance” RIGHT NOW. That’s the whole point of having a marketplace: You can compare plans and pick the one you feel is the best value for your needs & budget.

Here is my latest for @msnbc.com, on Trump's ill-advised concept of a plan for health care, which entails repealing the ACA, and redistributing private insurers' tax breaks to the people for what would essentially amount to an HSA, which is unhelpful if not wealthy. www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...

From street marches to court battles to the ballot box - we’ve challenged the power of this exceptionally unpopular president.

The lesson from each success we've had is that we need to ramp the political pressure up, always up, not back down, now more than ever.

We followed a court order and worked quickly to make sure that nearly 700,000 Wisconsinites who rely on FoodShare, including about 270,000 kids, had food to eat.

Now, President Trump wants to yank that money away from hungry kids, families, and seniors in Wisconsin? Hell no.

The message for Democrats is, "Republicans held food for kids hostage so they could make sure your healthcare costs skyrocket."
Angry as I am with Hassan, Shaheen, et al., the GOP is trying to deny SNAP payments to recipients and to block states' efforts to pay them. They are literally determined to starve the people they see as undeserving.
I've made my position very clear tonight that I think the healthcare fight is too important to leave to a "maybe" future vote but this is absolutely right.

And it's why blame MUST be placed first and foremost on the GOP and their merciless hostage-taking.

This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.
