Flaneur and observer of the urban condition. Professional urban designer, but I don’t post much about the subject as a lot is said more eloquently by others. Scale models, mountain bike rides, gardening.
The whole argument about Chinese tech spying on us etc goes out the window when you consider Tesla does the same at possibly an equivalent or greater risk.
IMO Canada allowing Chinese EVs is not going to touch the traditional Canadian car market much at all.

It probably puts a torch to Tesla and that in itself is worth it.

Well my walk was cleared to pavement.

Ugh.

All this because they had to make an extra big pile here because of the idiot park and rider who was in the way.

But no ticket for him because that would be mean.

I do think that mayor @andrewknack.bsky.social should be more like me when it comes to snow removal.

If you don’t move your car you get plowed in. Your car might get damaged.

You will learn.

As expected, the park and riders showed up minutes before snow removal and parked in front of my house.

So I left them notes and talked to the plow operator so he could “inconvenience them”.

Hard.

In 1931, millionaire Charles Eugène Bedaux embarked on an exhibition from Edmonton into northern BC. With him was his wife, mistress, cinematographer Floyd Crosby, cowboys, and lots of alcohol.
It was a disaster.
This is the story of the Champagne Safari.

Allow me to reintroduce myself since I don't post here often: I’m Rollie Pemberton a.k.a Cadence Weapon. I wrote rap reviews at Pitchfork as a teenager and put out my debut album Breaking Kayfabe right after.

I became poet laureate of Edmonton and won the Polaris Prize for my album Parallel World

So the USA threatens to “take” Greenland which would end NATO, but assume they will still use European bases to project force in the Middle East.

Ok then.

Glad I dumped my Ford $F stock last week.

Trump isn’t the future and companies that pander to him are missing the boat.
Trump on a hot mic tells Ford workers that company chair Bill Ford "calls me all the time, 'Can we get rid of this environmental piece of garbage?'"

"You saw an F-450 at Mar-a-Lago with your face on it!" Ford says

I think I should create an AI that does nothing but steal works from nefarious dead creators and packages it up as new works.

Have all the fun and their estate gets NOTHING.
Probably going to add the names of their characters and works as well.

Mr Potter your clock is ticking.
Something I do when a bad person dies is I mute their name. Forever.

Best to forget them and let them rot in the hell of their own making.

My hood has a bunch of rooming houses and over packed rentals where nobody parks on the driveways for reasons.

We have houses that haven’t had springtime grit removal done in 5 years because of parked cars and it’s only going to get worse with the 8 plexes going up.

Life. Lessons.

Ticket them the full $250 and plow around them if necessary.

Still holding on to my theory that ICE is a consequence of an over militarized society.

A collection of veterans trying to recreate a bonded group, many who fought wars and have untreated PTSD, and many more who never saw combat and have a pent up need to inflict violence.

The reveal.

Only a couple masking gaps and over spray mess ups.

Tamiya gloss paints so I can skip the clear coat step and go right to decals.

Next up is maybe chipping. There are a couple layers of strategic chipping medium but I don’t know if I can bring myself to activate it.

Smoothest paint job so far since my return to the hobby. Hoping it doesn’t grey out with decals, panel lining etc.

My new technique is very thin Tamiya lacquer (1/3) and keep on thinning it until the last few passes are almost pure thinner.

Zoomed in 1/48 scale.

Been quietly working away on #buildthestash

Building this P51 D purchased at auction for $6. Plan is to make it in Canadian postwar colours using leftover decals from the C130.

As is my style it will be interpretive realism instead of pedantically accurate.
