Thanks. It’s a bit of a puzzle using gloss paints and flat washes together compared to the old way of coating everything with clear coat for decals and pin washes, and then flat coating everything for weathering layers.

Yep, assuming it’s not a gel. It will work to clean up Tamiya acrylics and lacquer.

I keep a jar full of the stuff and toss bottles, mixing sticks, brushes and eye droppers in it.

Can be used as a thinner for less valuable work like dioramas but I wouldn’t use it for higher stakes models.

That is a great idea. I’ve found some add-on parts that I know don’t go with the kits I bought, but do go with other kits in the auction. I’m thinking I will reach out to the locals and maybe do some trades.

Yeah it’s quite an amazing haul. The guy seemed to have some spectacular ideas about building unique variants, got started and the quit partway.

So many add ons in these boxes that aren’t touched so if I want to I can buy the kit new and just use the add-ons.

That might be right up my alley considering my latest passion is military vehicles repurposed for civilian use.

Maybe when I pick up my auction models I can kit bash something out of the M113s. I think I bought 4 of them, and one is an opened box with likely missing parts.
