If you’re paid by Russia as a British MP you get 10.5 years in jail

If you’re paid by Israel you get made Prime Minister.

Well presented with English translations. May be slightly biased against Russians for some reason!

Remember how we kept getting told that a European Army was a REALLY BAD idea?
It's January 31st, 2020, and Nathan Gill is celebrating our imminent departure from the EU.... and that terrible idea of a European Army.

Hmm, now I wonder who else would have been delighted about that.

Most of the public know what’s going on with flags on lamp posts.

Crucially for the government, 78% of its 2024 voters think anti-minority sentiment is involved in flying England flags (versus just 15% who think it’s just a national pride thing).

They are getting the politics of this all wrong.
Why do people think England flags have been raised on lampposts?

White adults
National pride: 26%
Anti-migrant/minority sentiment: 49%
Both: 19%

Ethnic minority adults
National pride: 15%
Anti-migrant/minority sentiment: 55%
Both: 20%

Very interesting Marjorie Taylor Greene resigning. I haven’t seen a single pundit who seems to have (a) expected it or (b) has a good explanation for it.

That very rarely happens.

i wonder how much of Americans' views on driving vs. transit would change if they had to pay for gas/insurance/etc every time they turned on the engine

"i'm not paying $5 to take the train to work twice a day when i can just drive" is a genuine opinion held by so many people
