What are some of your family idioms that make no sense to anyone outside of the clan / household? We have:
- 'going rubby-round', when a cat rubs up against your legs because it wants dinner
- 'don't tell John', a generic name for cat treats that are human food e.g. ham
- 'osbidge', meaning a horse

There’s so much to love about 1974’s “The Taking of Pelham One Two Three”. One of them is how wonderfully ordinary everyone looks. It’s such a relief. There’s a tyranny of beauty in so many modern movies. Beautiful people, beautiful bodies. It’s as exhausting as it’s alienating.
