@floaker.bsky.social drops into Derry & Toms to talk game design and an intriguing proposition for a very particular Moorcock property. Great conversation and, as always, Tanya makes me think about RPGs in a different way.

OK, this is the final outcome from the initial promo splurge around my Peter Hammill book Rock and Role, a nice interview I did with venerable online mag Perfect Sound Forever.

Runestaff, Ice Schooner, Michael Kane? (City of the Beast makes a GREAT TTRPG scenario.)

Just look at those COVERS. I want to run them all as adventures right NOW!

Or feel free to do both of course

Of course! Moorcockian has a broad sweep after all. Let me know which date you'd prefer and I'll stick you on my spreadsheet. I'll get more organised once I figure out WarHorn or whatever.

If the individual paperback is being elusive, there's a nice edition that includes Behold the Man and Constant Fire that can be had for less than a tenner, by Orion books.

After mulling this over since 2020, this year looks like the year that we'll finally host a Moorcockian RPG microcon here in Bradford. As the patrons were pretty evenly split on dates, we're just gonna do both and theme them around law vs chaos. Or something. Details to follow...

Love this Atomic Rooster ad from Sounds Magazine, 12 Dec 1970. 'Death Walks Behind You'/'Join The Professionals', geddit? And needless to say, one of the great albums of the early 70s... www.youtube.com/watch?v=04qf...

We'll be wrapping up Warlord in the next month or two (part one out already, part two ready for editing, recording part three in March). Just great stuff, with some caveats, mainly related to the many revisions over the years.

Looking forward to re-reading it. Should get to it this summer hopefully

From The Land Leviathan (1974) by Michael Moorcock, a brilliant novel...

"...nationalism grew stronger and stronger and fierce battles of words began to take place between the Great Powers. Trade embargoes, crippling and unnecessarily unfair tariff restrictions were applied and returned. 1/2

Magic. Who'd a thunk that Roger Whitaker would compose the score for one of the most lurid, rapey downfall of civilisation films Britain ever produced.

Ooooh... The Death of Grass. Have thought about doing that at some point just so I can talk about the film, No Blade of Grass. That is a wild film. No pun intended (written, produced and directed by Cornel Wilde).
