I love the old, full, unpolished (by modern standards) production on vinyl releases from the late 70s and early 80s. Magic.

Postie delivered some goodies today (I had a mini-splurge following a conversation with @joebankswriter.bsky.social re an upcoming episode). Flicknife Records releases of 12" Hawkwind Zarozinia and 7" of Mike and the Deep Fix's Dodgem Dude/Starcruiser. Time for a spin!

Another bloody brilliant piece of work from @bryan-talbot.bsky.social
Had a great time talking to Bryan about it (plus Alice in Sunderland and other things) a few weeks ago. Link below.

Glorious anniversary gift from Mrs Stimbot this morning. It will look grand across the room from our other Haberfield print.

Just exchanging a handful of posts about it has me scrambling to rewatch it.

You can't beat a sunny autumn morning. Crisp. Gorgeous.

Wait... Is that Ralf (TV Conan) Moeller doing gardening tool ads for Lidl?

I had the original TORG box set back in the day but never did anything with it. Still have my lovely D20 from that set even though I moved the game on years and years ago. It's given great service. I think I still have the first TORG novel on a shelf somewhere. Storm Knights?

And finally, I've been doing some therapeutic shopping this past couple of weeks and I'd forgotten I ordered this. Bonny though...

Second bit of ace mail from postie today...
Fab work from @mulgraveaudio.bsky.social once again

Been a cracking mail day today, with the arrival of an overdue (but well worth the wait) Kickstarter - #Dolmenwood
Gorgeous and a bloody bargain considering what I paid on backing it...

Was initially pleased to see that one of Bradford's oldest boozers, The Unicorn, has reopened after two plus decades shuttered and then... Oh... Oh no...
Oh well. Went to to The Ginger Goose instead and ended playing Bingo with the old-timers* sort of by accident. £2.60 a pint though. Result!

No idea where this is going to live. It's too deep for any shelf I own...

There aren't many films I'd buy multiple fancy schmancy editions of, but having two The Keep UHD boxes is something I couldn't resist. I had no idea this one would be so bloody massive though (see Space 1999 hardcover for scale... )

This is the incredible tome Mateo sent me (plus Trauma 2020 paperback for scale). It's a cracker. A handful are still available from Powys Media.

Turns out the astronaut sitcom I was thinking of was Astronauts, but it didn't feature the guy in Who Dares Wins (Stephen Bent). It was Barrie Rutter. Mistaken 'tachedentity

Tonight's bedtime reading is an early W40k novel by New Worlds favourite and Moorcock pard Barry Bayley (with thanks to @wintermutegb.bsky.social for this bang tidy copy).

As that post, for some reason, didn't display the imagery... Have some Skarsol!
(and the Bob Haberfield cover)

First world problems, I know, but still infuriating. Anyway, now I can get back to being generally appalled by the state of the world and reading the novelisation of Who Dares Wins

Part two of Phoenix in Obsidian finally in the can. When we recorded part one Phil was on the countdown to retirement. Today, she had retired, gone back to work for a year, then retired again. Almost two years!
