This one's a bit out from release but it's starting to come to form.

This is turning into a one track song, but instead of the usual drone/neoclassical bummer music, I am trying my hand at prog rock odyssey style simply because that's where the improv is going. Ha.

When I started this project I wanted to very quickly establish the absolute lack of consistency in what type of music was going to happen.

The first four months of this project I released four albums and two long form experimental tracks.

This was the third album.

Lighthuggers!

This album came from noodling. The intro for track one was some sound design and keyboard noodling and I decided if anything felt like it sounded like "nostalgia for infinity" it was that.

That's all it takes. Once I know where to go for an album the music starts coming out.

I mentioned in the Empire is no more! thread about how this album is linked up with that one.

Despite its sort of random approach I feel like it still plays out coherently as though it's one of the more formal albums.

I definitely still pick at ideas that came out on this for more recent albums.

Sometimes I spend my free time by myself just quietly thinking about space.

Another "all the genres" Imrryr album here.

Once again, I think it's cool. I like doing albums like this but I get the lack a consistent style isn't what folks expect from listening to an album but fuck em. Ha.

My old painting of a brown dwarf.
This view represents a moon of a brown dwarf being lit up by the sun-like star, which is second component of this star-brown dwarf system.

Making a mouse guard album was on a long list of goals. I always told myself to just wait until something I made, made me picture cool mice with weapons, and to not try and force it.

This one I feel like serves as a thesis statement for what prog doom could be.

I spent a lot of time writing this and using ideas I had come upon from the previous albums ( still they haunt... ) improvised nature.

It came together as a solid example of guitar free prog doom.

I received so much music in the mail this week.

Arguably... too much.

Realistically this isn't any music when one considers all the music that exists, so it's fine.

Music is cool.

One of the many downsides to releasing music to frequently is albums get lost in the noise.

This one I think has. It doesn't really get listened to compared to others.

This was an improv heavy album and ended having way more guitar parts than I had intended when I started it.

This album is unlike others. It's the only multi track album that truly settles into one genre with no other influence.

It's just doom metal.

The four albums released before this one were actually written after this. The release was put off in order to do so with Owlripper.
