I've long posited that more and more multi-racial white-presenting people will exist as we move forward, and most of us aren't going to be the types to put up with racist bullshit. I'm glad to see this playing out!
“Gen Z has the lowest racial resentment of any generation ever studied.”

Important work from @jakemgrumbach.bsky.social that offers a clear explanation of why there is an intense push to change school curricula to make them more white supremacist

The Shocking Truth About Gen Z Voters Is That They’re Pretty Great
Stop panicking: They are the most progressive generation ever, especially on race. If that surprises you, you’ve been listening to the wrong story.

As SNAP cuts loom, Halloween trick-or-treating is a chance to help

@bjsplash.bsky.social and I packed 19 ‘no questions asked’ bags of non perishable food for people to take with their candy haul …

🧵Thread of cafes, restaurants, bars, bagel joints, etc offering free meals to SNAP recipients, for those who might need it, & so those who don't can give 'em their business.

If you know of such offers in your area & don't see them here, please tell us in @'s.

Here's one! toastedseattle.com

My top 5 board game designers according to my shelves are probably:

Uwe Rosenberg
Vital Lacerda
Jamey Stegmaier
Vlaada Chvatil
Justin Gary

Honorable mentions to go to Stefan Feld and Alexander Pfister along with Knizia, Bauza, etc.
I loved the rules mistakes portion of this episode...we've all been there as rules teachers and parse a lot of content every time we teach. The honesty here was great.

Also as a bonus, my top 5 designers represented in my collection:
Stefan Feld
Reiner Knizia
Scott Almes
Bruno Cathala
Justin Gary
In today’s podcast episode we discuss the top 5 board game designers represented on our shelves.

We also discuss rules mistakes during reviews (and on the table) and why they happen.

Donate to your local food banks. Cash is best - as they know what they need and can procure it in bulk and at discount prices.

I cannot tell you how many tech journalists at prominent media organizations do not understand this
Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

What a fun run for the Mariners this season! I'm still a Rangers fan but it's always fun to see the local adopted home team doing so well and generating so much energy.

David Simon never misses.
I'll take my shot at refutation.

I don't hate America. I loathe everything you and your kind is doing to undermine and destroy its honor, promise and humanity. So I will join with millions of others in dissent, which is the most American thing there is.

You lying, fearmongering, cowardly trash.
Johnson: “They're going to descend on our capital for their much-anticipated so-called ‘No Kings’ rally. We refer to it by its more accurate description: 'The Hate America' rally. I'm not sure how anybody can refute that."
