The world needs more work like The Vow in it. Lush, grimy, sexy, and just overflowing with care on every page. If there’s a more dynamic duo working in comics today, I don’t know who it is. Readers at all into fantasy, romance, or just simply good stories, well told, grab it now and thank me later.
Two people, used only as weapons, are forced together by the shackles of duty to fight a divine foe. Mutual loathing and repressed desires collide, hot and bleeding.

The Vow is a 300 page dark fantasy graphic novel, with art by @feralroyal.bsky.social and words by me. 18+ only.

in day to day life, a world where everyone asks gender as default would be a nightmare to me. my situation is complex and i do not want to have this conversation with my barista. i CAN lie but honestly directly making ME say the lie is only time i feel dysphoric. i prefer to let THEM make mistake

This is cool after the war on everything called “porn” by platforms and payment processors. A machine that stole all your words can generate and sell “erotica” but you can’t haaa
Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year

repost this if an editor has ever saved you from yourself
An actual hot take: Too many authors are afraid of editors watering down their voice or whatever and not afraid enough of editors letting you put any old slop on the page.

You might see several artists mad about the bluesky policy update banning non-con, even artists who do not make that kind of material, and wonder why it's such a problem. If that's you, here is a quick breakdown:

Kurt Vonnegut’s definition of what makes something “art” is one of my favorites I’ve seen - from a letter to his brother in 1995.

Presently resisting the paternalistic urge to reach out to certain AVN creators, give them a hug, and softly reassure them that queerness would make their games significantly hotter and that moving away from homophobia and heteronormative tropes would give them broader market appeal, not narrower.

LeGuin wrote about the desire for 'unassailable safety' as one of the deep roots of evil, and I think about that a lot.
We need to teach people the difference between being uncomfortable and being unsafe. Because the discomfort of the safest people is endangering the most vulnerable, all day every day.

So: I don't just write. I also edit and consult.

Are you looking for informed, constructive feedback on your smut or otherwise queer work? Drop me a line. If we're a good fit, we'll make it happen, whatever your needs.

Damn anyone who tries to take our light away—we'll shine even brighter.

Let's talk about weird art.

Weird art, gross art, sexual art, violent art, all has its place and belongs. And you really need to stop acting like the existence of uncomfortable themes equals harm. That kind of censorship, which IS what that is, only serves to silence and abuse people.

I support incest games. I support non-con and violent games. I support the right for games with fictionalized abuse of -any- form to exist.

the fundamental line in the sand is, "was another, real human being, harmed/abused/had their consent violated"? if that box isnt checked, then i dont care.

"This makes me uncomfortable so it shouldn't exist" is a tool I've seen covertly passed from fascists into the hands of young queer kids not realizing the implications of what they're doing

remember that these people oppose trans healthcare for children because giving children agency over their bodies makes it harder for them to get away with preying on them and they see themselves entitled to sexually abusing children

Grown-up magical girls who are boys who like girls who are boys. Rough around the edges, but ready enough to read. Oh, and it's a full-ass novella, this time, not just a short story.

For adults only.

if you aren't what you're supposed to be, if you're not Their Girl/Boy, you make it extremely easy to get iced out by everyone regardless of gender and it creates a pretty similar experience imo. maybe not universal, but similar, overlapping experiences, similar, overlapping damage.

As a smut writer, I spend a lot of time thinking about BODIES, a delightfully squishy subject that is made a bit less palatable by its logical overlap with GENDER. But what if we could separate the two? Figures are my attempt to do just that.

that fucking second slide is everything.

art and the money it makes has NOT disappeared, it's just spirited away into bottomless corporate pockets. It's still profitable to endorse and support the arts, it just never seems like it is, because it's all immediately taken
"Sydney Sweeney could have an entire career of choosing only hits, of never taking a break, and still not reach the kind of money the generation before her made more or less passively once their work was done."
