As Cohen says (better than I'm about to), we as white people fear undergoing what we have inflicted upon POC since before the "founding" of the US. As Professional Yapper says, we must be willing to lose our protection from those harms to dismantle white supremacy.

Another way to help Minneapolis.
We are in fact DESPERATE for winter coats, waterproof gloves, and good boots. We get so many wonderful donations but it is so cold and the numbers of unhoused unsheltered people are going up at the absolute worst time for it, and we run out of coats weekly.
The frigid Twin Cities temperatures will hurt the homeless; so do not gloat about the impact on ICE without also stepping up here:

I'm sure this is a problem academics in other fields have already solved. I just never learned how to correctly cite, for instance, a chunk of text which also includes a quote from another source.

What if I make a supplement for something which has its own ludography/bibliography? Should I include the same citations as the core game I'm supplementing? I like thinking about this because it's an ideal problem to have. If this is a consideration, it means people are citing things properly.

Hell yeah. I don't currently have any games which warrant in-line citations, but someday, I'll make something big enough that demands the display of its "inspirations" within context.
