If this passes, it will be enacted in a way that will make it nearly impossible for married women with their husband’s last name to get the proper updated paperwork to vote in 2026. It’s designed to disenfranchise women. Women who are getting married should seriously consider keeping their name.

When you're in Minnesota and one of your coworkers is out unexpectedly, one of the options that floats through your brain is that they were kidnapped by ICE. Then you are relieved when you find out they are ill. Beyond angry and sad that this is where we at.
