FREE BOOK!

I put this offer up seven hours ago.

It's been reposted twenty odd times.

But not one request.

What's Christmas without enjoying a hot drink near a crackling fire? The elves at East Kilbride Central Library certainly agree... if you can spot them that is! 🎄☕

Only took a drive out to get more shower bombs. Then remembered, a new book/coffee shop opened a couple of weeks ago…oh dear 😬

After my wee bookfest yesterday too 🙈

Felt guilty for all of 10 seconds. Read the quote on the back & giggled all the way home as it sat on the passenger seat beside me 😂

Absolutely shocking.

We're offering an overall award of £10k for information that leads to a conviction in these cases.

Such a devastating disease that just seems to keep coming back stronger each time. So upsetting to see this…
“Hundreds of snow geese found dead at a Northampton County quarry are suspected to have died of bird flu, the Pennsylvania Game Commission said in a Tuesday news release.
The commission is facilitating removal, testing and disposal of the dead birds, the release states.”

The Walkhighlands app has been commended in the @tgomagazine.bsky.social reader awards! “Essential for walking in Scotland”, commented one reader to TGO. Another said they “have explored areas I would never have thought of on paths I would never have found thanks to this app!”

Some of my wanderings today

Nice to see blue skies
And so many things bathed in low winter sunshine
Even if it was cold with it
Beautiful house but
I don’t like digestive biscuits
It’s like eating a thatched roof

A visit today to one of my favourite 2nd hand bookshops
Once I’d pulled this from the shelf
And seen the front cover
I was never in a million years
Going to leave it behind

Today marks 250 years of Jane Austen! Did you know all her novels published in her lifetime were done so anonymously? However, by the time Mansfield Park came out, the secret was out and her brother Henry may have been partially to blame! Austen wanted her work to be judged on merit, not gender.

Slideshow of old photos! A great balance of the everyday, games & a spattering of royalty. Spied a couple of Dowager Queen Alexandra

In her heyday, a great beauty & fashion icon to the point where women used sticks & developed a limp to be like her
