I note it doesn’t mention fixing the original. Quite ironic, I’m reading this & having my morning coffee from this…

They shouldn’t have let it rot! Shameful neglect.

Yes, the hand drawn illustrations & copious information - great, if you’re not squeamish.

Jacket cracked me up. Grim Reaper & Reaper-ess. Crossed scythes, winged hour glass, strooglie hair & beard. The one on the ground kicking the Reaper’s backside & grabbing at the thigh of the Reaper-ess 😂

Moments of calm today with one of my latest buys, sans jacket of mischievous skeletons.

Seems to have been produced to accompany lectures on anatomy to art students at Slade School of Art between 1925-1968.

Many famous artists/sculptors/illustrators attended the school, including Raymond Briggs.

Only took a drive out to get more shower bombs. Then remembered, a new book/coffee shop opened a couple of weeks ago…oh dear 😬

After my wee bookfest yesterday too 🙈

Felt guilty for all of 10 seconds. Read the quote on the back & giggled all the way home as it sat on the passenger seat beside me 😂

Some of my wanderings today

Nice to see blue skies
And so many things bathed in low winter sunshine
Even if it was cold with it
Beautiful house but
I don’t like digestive biscuits
It’s like eating a thatched roof

A visit today to one of my favourite 2nd hand bookshops
Once I’d pulled this from the shelf
And seen the front cover
I was never in a million years
Going to leave it behind

The convenience of the mobile phone…

🎶This could be Rotterdam or anywhere Liverpool or Rome🎶

But it’s not. It’s a car park - ‘Ev’ry Little Helps’ 👀

Lurgy mask on to get some supplies. Didn’t expect to see this after a day of almost but not quite, dark skies.

🤞Hope you get a copy👍.
This is a wondrously weird thing. Because I got a lot of his books from the library, I decided after 1/4 of a century to start re-reading when I got my reading mojo back. First, I decided to start building my own collection, slowly over past 14 mths & still some to get but…

Found them! They were on my shelves! My books had been boxed for a long time & last year, house renovations & new furniture. I hurriedly unboxed & put onto shelves or in cupboards below. Truth, Thud & Men at Arms not read + another 16 titles on shelves below that I’ve read.

Oh my goodness me!! That’s a shocker!

Sorry - Tried to post link to bbc article but Skeets hates me trying to post links.

Tree has been up for a couple of days.
She’s not touched it
I told her I’d chase her through the village
with a claymore if she did
She’s clearly not calling my bluff

After filling my face with more goodies today, I had a 3 mile yomp - Bantrach area with the doggos to walk it off & a run out further to a very, very cold, windy & choppy Lochindorb.

It was a one shot stop as the wind was taking me sideways.
Little wonder I’ve got lurgy 😂

A full Christmas dinner yesterday in a Kirk that has a new lease of life, as a restaurant. Still retaining some original features & a place friends & I like to visit but don’t usually get a table right opposite this window.

A weak but lengthy aurora here last night.

It’s Stanstead. It could’ve been baggage security.

Don’t tell me he’s had to go to A&E with it still stuck up there…

Just did a face scan to verify my age on Bluesky

You will be visited by three spirits…

Trees. Woods wanderings. Boxes with little fae folk inside that caught my eye.
December 9, 2025 at 3:23 PM
Well, once the baggage handlers are onboard with it…

Sometimes visit Edinkillie. These photos from earlier in the year with its watch house from the body snatching days - it looks like perhaps some restoration work going on in there - I hope so.

😂 Try not to be too disappointed.
I believe there are some old family photos from his childhood awaiting carbon dating - along with their family car 👀
