Ghost mountain is a fable-like novel about a mountain that suddenly appears and the way in which its manifestation ripples through the lives of characters in the surrounding community. I'm not sure how to describe this novel, it's dark in places yet there are some laugh out loud moments, it's beautifully written with some really touching scenes, but overall, quite a sad book. CLARE LEONARD and DOUGAL THE DOG visited Rutherglen Library to read, talk and run a craft session based around her new children's book DOUGAL AND THE RAIDERS OF THE DARK PARK. This was a fantastic start to our programme of children's events for Rutherglen's 900th anniversary.
