I know this won't surprise anyone here but Musk's reprogrammed artificial intelligence is spreading misinformation about yesterday's attack on a train

Carmageddon on Elm Row - echelon parking in the parallel parking encroaching on cycleway; parking in crossing area; parking on footway outside shops. This is supposed to be a place for people not a car park! Why no wardens? How about some signs to guide drivers?? @jackrmcaldwell.bsky.social

1. It's fascinating to see, as you can from the responses to the post below, how many daft things people believe, to justify their continued meat eating. So let's examine a few of the common myths in the following thread. 🧵
For years, there's been a massive over-emphasis on food miles, and a massive under-emphasis on food type.
By far and away the best dietary decision you can make, for environmental, humanitarian and public health purposes, is to cut out animal products.

Remember this, whenever someone says "alternative proteins - yuck!"

Here's the route for tomorrow's ride down to Portobello!
The good news - the first two bikes are here 🎉.
The bad - £0.11/min + £0.49 unlock fee. Which is £3.79 per 30 minutes, whereas everywhere else the first 30 minutes are free on city bikes. I know these are electric, but why ONLY electric?

By signing up to mutual recognition of vehicle standards with the United States, the European Union has waved the white flag on road safety. This is not a technical detail – it is a political choice…

Reform UK, which has a grand total of four MPs, was just given an uninterrupted platform for an hour and a half on the BBC and Sky News channels, in order to talk about its plans for mass deportations
When was the last time the Greens (with four MPs) or the Lib Dems (with 72) were given the same?

LOVE a polite disagreement.
I'd argue that we should leave the path as is and convert the Dean Bridge to be tram, cycle, pedestrian only. Reroute all the big traffic away from the city centre completely. Controversial? Yes. Feasible? Maybe.

The Roseburn Path is a vital Active Travel Route, Green Corridor and natural habitat that runs through a large part of the city.
That said, I believe trams should run down it. This is the original plan and we should stick with it.
