Watching the Epstein atrocities continuing to expand, one of the horrors is knowing that many of these men feel absolutely nothing for their victims beyond annoyance - they are gross narcissists who see the world as FOR THEM and to hell with the rest whatever the destruction and pain wrought

In this week's column I seek to explain Keir Starmer's flat refusal to change our electoral system, even though its gross unfairness could put Reform UK in power on <30% of the vote. The reasons, I believe, are deeply cynical and disturbing. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
If Reform ever wins power in Westminster, it will be because of Labour’s cowardice | George Monbiot
Starmer could improve our unfair electoral system to stop the hard right, but he won’t. All the party has left are threats about ‘splitting the vote’, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Just made it to Critical Mass - on #Voi hire bike this time. Shorter ride in city centre - busy but stayed dry. Played Scottish playlist since it was near Burns night. Liked blasting Teenage Fanclub at St Andrews Square! @edcriticalmass.bsky.social

Please spread this far and wide, as stories don't get much bigger than this. When the government blocks even the intelligence services from telling us we're heading for environmental catastrophe, you know we have a problem. A very big problem.
Thank you.

The UK government didn't want you to see this report on ecosystem collapse. I'm not surprised | George Monbiot
It took an FOI request to bring this national security assessment to light. For ‘doomsayers’ like us, it is the ultimate vindication, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

This week's column is about something that's arguably more important than anything in the news, crucial as some of the other issues are.

Where's the outrage we saw when Angela Rayner, who paid the wrong amount of tax on a property for her disabled son, & followed poor advice? She had a single breach of code for an amount ~10% of what Farage has tried to tax dodge.

When is he going to be made to resign due to media pressure?

🚨 Shocking Stats on Speeding Near Edinburgh Schools! 🚨

I’ve been exploring this fascinating tool: speeding.hasp.ac.uk

It uses GPS data to show how often goods vehicles are speeding in Edinburgh (and beyond). The results? Honestly worrying.

If you make a billion dollars — or $500 million or even $100 million dollars — and you keep trying to make more, then there is something seriously wrong with you. It's a mental illness akin to hoarding or drug addiction.
