When Massachusetts passed a "millionaires tax" in 2023, conservatives claimed the rich would flee.

But two years later, they haven't — and MA has collected $5.7B for infrastructure and public education.

A reminder that positive change can still happen at the state level.

Cambridge is one of the most progressive cities in America. Yet residents are crushed by housing costs, groceries, childcare.

That’s why our campaign is here: to make our city dignified and affordable for all.

Of all the scammy, weird things the Josh Kraft campaign has done this feels uniquely bad and actually illegal.

The FTC requires that sponsored posts be labeled #ad or #sponsored. For months, Kraft paid Boston influencers thousands of dollars for Instagram posts with no disclosure. #mapoli #bospoli

What’s your favorite mayoral candidate housing policy?

(1) Cuomo: Everyone is required to be rent burdened

(2) Kraft: I’m giving tax breaks to landlords to raise rents at 4x inflation

oh my god. around midnight last night, CPD flooded an occupied, 61-unit apartment building with tear gas and pepper spray to try to force one guy out.

it didn’t work! the guy’s still there! but they did make a bunch of people sick and displaced instead

The Cambridge Police (still exclusively on X, naturally) are furiously spinning this debacle. After hours of antagonizing community members, they teargassed a low-income apartment building with NO WARNING. An elderly resident & a baby were sent to the hospital, and dozens suffered while CPD watched.

MASSACHUSETTS: WE WON STATE HOUSE TRANSPARENCY!

For too long, lack of transparency has stonewalled effective organizing. But today — all that changes.

Grateful to State Rep. @electerika.bsky.social & @statereptarahong.bsky.social for their leadership on this.

Over 2 million people are being intentionally deprived of food, water, medicine, and baby formula.

Israel must allow aid into Gaza immediately. This genocide must end and the U.S. must stop being complicit.

Tomorrow night, the Somerville City Council is set to pass a Home Rule Petition to abolish forced broker fees! In November, I joined with @votejivan.bsky.social & @enriquepepen.bsky.social (& @bonniejin.bsky.social ) to put municipal pressure on the state to end this exploitative practice.

Tonight, two & a half months after I joined regional partners in calling for the end to forced brokers fees, Somerville has put a Home Rule Petition before the city council to discuss & send to the state. With support from the governor & many state reps & senators, we can get this done!
It’s time we end forced brokers' fees.

We can't lose to New York City.

Proud to collab with @enriquepepen.bsky.social, @votejivan.bsky.social, & @willieburnleyjr.bsky.social to get this done—and grateful to @chiosse.bsky.social for leading the charge on this in NYC!

In a time of extreme income inequality & disparities throughout our healthcare system, it is obscene to prioritize executive compensation over the needs of patients and the workers who make hospitals run.

It’s time we invest in saving lives first & cap healthcare CEO pay:

~two things can be true~

1. The NLRB has never been the source of our power: workers are.
2. If the NLRB didn't matter, Republicans wouldn’t be trying so hard to fuck it up.

BREAKING: Trump just fired the former NLRB Chair.

From enforcement to unionization and more, “Federal labor law is in full crisis,” as @nlrbu.bsky.social states.

Here’s a breakdown on what this means 👇
The immediate impact of this firing is that the NLRB now has just two Board Members, which deprives the agency of a quorum. Without a quorum, the Board cannot issue decisions on unfair labor practices. Federal labor law will not be enforced in a wide variety of circumstances.

Hi @whipkclark.bsky.social—constituent here! I believe there’s an error in the Chinese translation on your new mailer.

Whereas the texts above the first 2 QR codes refer to the Spanish and Portuguese languages, the text above the QR code on the right translates to “Chinese person”—not the language.
