We ran on making Cambridge an affordable and dignified city to live in, and making sure the most vulnerable people are heard. Everyday issues for working people were the driving force behind our campaign, and we will carry their voices into City Hall.
LUCE expanded their work into food delivery, when they recognized that immigrants were afraid to leave their homes to buy food. In this time of acute insecurity, their mission is more important than ever. Please support them if you can!
Fund food not ICE! LUCE’s Cambridge Hub is collecting food donations to support local pantries and calling on @massgovernor.bsky.social to use the Rainy Day Fund to continue SNAP benefits and protect immigrant, refugee and working class families. Please come by to donate food — & share this widely!

I was honored to speak with the Globe about our campaign. Together, we made history on Tuesday night, not just here but across the country. And we’re just getting started.
Ayah Al-Zubi made history as the youngest person ever elected to the Cambridge City Council, at a time when young leaders on the political left are asserting themselves in positions of power.
