It must be rough to be the only rep at the call center assigned to taking calls about The Substance. All day you have to talk to people who can’t deal with their own mortality and decisions, and everyone else just gets to do credit card points stuff. Tough

A majority of Massachusetts residents were not old enough to vote in 1994, 31 years ago, when rent control was banned. And those residents are disproportionately impacted by a system that places virtually no limits on rent gouging. It’s time for them to also have a say in how they’re treated

Driving in traffic is a dull and unpleasant chore and the only way Americans can escape having to do it all the time is by moving to one of three very expensive cities. This is bad and we should fix it.
appropos of going outside daily, I have to note that drivers have just absolutely and completely lost their minds. I'm amazed that it has, somehow, gotten continually worse

We need state and national leaders, but right now we mostly just have legislators and administrators. People who see themselves as holding a narrow job and just responding to circumstances to get by.
