this is in general my take on every single proposal that suggests watering down the integrity of a balkan state (invariably to meet serb nationalist demands) - either it's a state or it's not, there's no middle ground
if european countries didn't want the kosovar government to claim the exclusive loyalty of its residents they shouldn't have recognised its independence because that's what independence means
