I’m reading a (fiction) book about climbing Everest in 1925 and they’re describing in detail the parts of a Primus stove and it works exactly the same as the MSR stoves I have used since the 1990s. Some technology can’t be improved upon.

At some point in the early summer I developed a weird, intermittent rash on the back of my hands and I’m the age where a doctor diagnosed me with “that’s just a thing you have now.”
