Last week we visited Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the Gold Coast! We met a cousin of Round Frog and Long Frog and we got to see the amazing work they are doing to save the Critically Endangered Kroombit Tops Tinker Frog! 🐸

I’m howling.
Recently, Clifford "Buzz" Grambo decided to upgrade his electric scooter. The old one he had purchased online only reached 16 mph and wasn't cutting it anymore. He needed to go faster to keep up with the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement cars he chases around Baltimore. So, Grambo bought a Segway MAX G3, which features a 2,000-watt motor and can get up to 28 mph. "The first time I caught up to them, I could tell that they already knew who I was," he told me when we first spoke on the phone in late October. "They had seen me before, so they thought they were just going to speed away. I was like, ha-ha bitches, I got a new scooter!"

Our friend the Bankor Toad is the largest toad in Taiwan! In some cases, the larger females have been found nearly eight inches long! They are closely related to the Asiatic Toad, Bufo gargarizans, but for now are considered a separate species! (photo by 林正文)
A tan colored toad with a wide black and rusty red stripe down their side! They also have some darker brown patches on their back and legs! They are covered in large spiny bumps and have large, very prominent parotoid glands! Their eyes are very red!

Our friend Peracca's Plump Toad is a very rare species of toad who lives in the Andes of southern Colombia and northern Ecuador! They are one of a few toads who are born directly as small toads and do not have a tadpole stage! (photo by Augustin Bussac)
A small, stocky, perhaps plump, black toad sitting on a dark brown leaf! The toad has rough skin and a small ridge of oval shaped bumps down their side! They also have a somewhat angular nose, forming a point!
