Public Health and urbanist takes
Not that I think Dems will do this or anything much useful, but if they do, they need to avoid the word "mandates".

Shifting language towards "requirements" or other words and emphasizing vaccines required for children in schools is probably the best one can do.
Dems need to go all in on pro-vaccine messaging.

vaccine mandates are extremely popular, even among republicans, and hugely important for public health.

we can’t cede a single fucking inch to these deranged dipshits

A fantastic Bloomberg piece showed how coverage of shootings in NYC bore absolutely ZERO relationship to ACTUAL shootings. Just to politics of crime: www.bloomberg.com/graphics/202...

People get their sense of crime trends from media coverage. And that coverage (#NotAllJournalists) is ... wanting.

Maryland friends, with utility bills climbing, here are some things you should know about utility shutoffs.

From November 1 to March 31, there are some rules to protect customers in cold weather. However, there is no rule that stops shut offs just because it’s winter.

This is something everyone is thinking right now. We're finally somewhat back on track with projects like the red line, and now all the federal money is just going to vanish. What now?

For anyone who cares, what kind of content would you like to see?

I used to do educational stuff about urbanism, environmental health, public health, and Baltimore based issues - but I feel like the audience here is well educated on those issues?

Thoughts welcome!
