Seems like when you are a woman, anything you are in addition to being a woman becomes a thing that will be weaponized against you because you are a woman, even if that thing is otherwise tolerated or even celebrated by those same groups. Huh! Interesting!

Breaking News: The EPA will stop considering lives saved when setting pollution limits and instead calculate only the cost to businesses.
E.P.A. to Stop Considering Lives Saved by Limiting Air Pollution
In a reversal, the agency plans to calculate only the cost to industry when setting pollution limits, and not the monetary value of saving human lives, documents show.

36 people have died at ICE's hands in the past year

may of these deaths did not happen on camera, but it does not make them any less horrifying and unacceptable

this is a list of their names, where they lived before being abducted, and a link to crowdfunding if i can find it

The YouTube search is entirely, completely fucking broken. If you search normally, you get nothing but algorithmic slop and unrelated recommendations, including a lot of the same results over and over. Newest, while also barely functional, was one of the few ways to find less viewed videos.

Still wild that they made ChatGPT 4o, people called them out for 4o glazing and affirming the user too much that it became uncomfortable, so they replaced it with a 5th version, *then* brought 4o back when some users missed the absurd praise from their bot, and now 4o has a death count

what this should make clear to everyone in this country is that it does not matter who you are, there's no "it could never happen to me"

you can be a white woman who drives around with stuffed animals in her car, and they will still kill you in cold blood and call you a domestic terrorist
The murdered woman's glove compartment is filled with stuffed animals.

A warning that this is a disturbing video. Proceed with caution.

But it shows that the ICE version of the story is an absolute fucking LIE. As is standard for them!

We need justice.
This is the video.

All of the money that changed hands in the Teapot Dome scandal totaled less than $10 million after adjusting for inflation, and it was considered so corrupt we still teach it in high school government classes a century later.
Corruption so pungent, it wafts right off the page:

Lobbyists who do pardon deals “say their going rate is $1 million. Pardon-seekers have offered some lobbyists close to the president success fees of as much as $6 million if they can close the deal.”

It’s uncertain whether the proposal will reach the statewide ballot in November, but some billionaires like Peter Thiel and Larry Page may be unwilling to take the risk.

Essentially, I think that LLM-generated dialogue only makes sense if you believe that the product of writing is words.

But the product of writing isn't words, any more than the product of justice is prisoners, or the product of love is weddings. The product of writing is meaning.

The confusion and conflation of ‘generative ai that is built on stolen artwork’ and ‘machine learning, character behaviour modelling and proc gen’ is intentional on the part of the grifters peddling the former. They benefit from murkiness of classification, because the latter predates their bollocks
