Friends everywhere, if only you know where to look. Friends in all shapes, all sizes, all places!
I grudgingly admit "skin as part of brain? Memebrane" is kind of clever, assuming he MEANT to type "meme" there and not "membrane". But most likely it's just a typo

"skin as part of brain?"

This is that great intellect people talk about?

I generally avoid threatening people with death or physical harm on here because it strikes me as a pretty unproductive and fucked up thing to do, with the notable exception of the sentient car Lightning McQueen from the Cars movies. who I will kill

"Glass Needle"

A friend of mine visited a few years back and we went to the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit at the Seattle Center, and I loved the framing of the brightly colored glass with the overcast rainy sky and the Space Needle.

Joke of the day from Moscow: Russia tried to unveil its first humanoid AI robot, Aidol. Key word: tried. The robot collapsed during its debut, forcing organizers to cut the presentation short. Their rushed attempt to lift the prop only made things worse.

I am kind of culturally deficient, but not because I never engage with media, but because I engage with really fucking stupid media like Space: 1999

If a well-read person ever accuses me of being completely culturally deficient, I hope I can afford the staff and media contacts to come up with some of "my" book reviews and get them published right away

I don't want to get too deep into this dumb discussion, but I do want to say that the character Roos Tarpals, literally the only competent gungam surrounded by morons at all times, is genuinely the funniest gag of the movie, and it's a shame he didn't have more screen time
Do you think Jar Jar Binks was made for children to sympathize with indigenous populations? If so, which ones?
"I have no idea what being a contributing writer for a fascist rag has to do with despising a character that was created for children to sympathize with indigenous populations"

Trump and his Republican Congress are making healthcare more expensive for the middle class and ending it for working families.
