I wanted to add another testimonial to my homepage and discovered that the 1990 article in the @nytimes.com about playing a Henry Moore sculpture at @sunyofficial.bsky.social College at Purchase as a percussion instrument was online.

Well I just learned from a very mean immigration officer that I was meant to log in and update my global entry account to reflect that I got a new passport… last year.

Anyway, heads up in case you also didn’t know that!

Hey so if you see your senator in this list, could you please call them tomorrow and tell them that you’re mad because they voted to kill the entire hemp farm industry, including your buddy Derek in Oregon?

Thanks, buddy.
Here are the Senators who voted to criminalize hemp products:

So I keep saying I am in autistic burnout and I am but what the hell was happening this time last year when I was managing to keep breaking things and seeing things that were not there.
Sudden Movements And Seeing Things
There’s a long list of blog posts I’ve wanted to get to, some more so than others, but events keep intervening and I don’t have the energy or motivation for them. Instead, here’s a look at what seems ...

And @democrats.senate.gov somehow think the actual “promised“ vote in December will be any different?
UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

Does he mean the November 2025 he and everyone else squandered yesterday? That one?
Kaine says he thinks Johnson will have no choice but to take up the subsidies if it passes through the Senate. "And if it comes out of here bipartisan, he cannot not take it up without having November 2026 make November 2025 look like a picnic."

idk man, when in doubt, it's a helluva lot easier and cheaper and more humane to invest in keeping people out of homelessness than to spend money pushing the unhoused around from damp sidewalk to damp sidewalk. rental/food assistance over sweeps all day any day

You know the best part of Apple’s increasingly shitty autocorrect/complete? That if you backspace to a prior word, it doesn’t recognize you are in a word and outputs something entirely unrelated.

I'm tired of party unity only ever running one way.

Sometimes it hurts to grow -- but your community believes that you can be made pure.

It comes out in May.

Inexplicably this episode of #CatPeople is doing a translation narration instead of just letting us listen to the actual speaker and read subtitles. It’s very annoying.
