The voice of who now?
I think everybody has a “Wallace Shawn from Young Sheldon” — my first one would probably be “Vincent Price, the guy who did the voice of Ratigan in The Great Mouse Detective”

Every office has an executive tier whose emails are like:

saw on news , , can we replce complianc dept with web 3

and a worker tier whose emails are like:

Dear Jim,
First of all, I *love* this idea! Unfortunately, I spoke with Legal and identified a few issues with this approach. For starters…
Well, it's a little clearer now why billionaires are so invested in technology that produces better written emails.

I know “Fawlty Towers” was her main legacy, but to me she’ll always be the sublimely snooty Miss Elizabeth Mapp from “Mapp & Lucia”.

There’s a promo trailer for “Eternity”, a new A24 film, that spotlights some material using Ringold Clarendon! I’ve had a lot of bromances, too.(I love when Ringold gets used in thematically appropriate ways. 🌈)

I can recall the phone numbers of all my childhood friends, but it took me five years to remember my partner’s number — and he’s my emergency contact!
If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.

Makes #zines and make a difference!
I’ve been plugging away for years at my little zines and fonts and such, because I would honestly go nuts if I didn’t have creative outlets, but as the years go by I also feel strongly that telling queer stories and making queer art — even nerdy stuff like mine — is radical and important and real.

I’ve never seen any of “Kill Bill”, so I was already interested in this theatrical re-release. Now that I’ve discovered I’m having dinner tonight at the “House of Blue Leaves” restaurant (Gonpachi Nishi-Azabu) in Tokyo, I’m even more excited to catch it once and for all. variety.com/2025/film/ne...

This is extremely well done and it makes me think there's a market for these kinds of 2-minute pop culture explainers from people who are actually experts at researching things. I know I can find a million explainers on social media, but archivists really know how to break it down and lay it out
The LA Public Library research librarian explaining what is going on with Charli and Taylor is outstanding work

Same, so very glad that today is a tattoo day.
I feel like my mental health is entirely dependent on a crisp fall breeze (WHERE is it) and next week's tattoo appointment.

I’ve been making zines for about 45(!) years, and the longer I do it the more incredible I think it is that so many people have done so much essential work just by realizing that there’s no one to stop them from using the means of production for themselves and their communities.
