This is lifted straight from The Culture. He’s literally trying to make fully automated luxury gay space communism minus the gay and communism.
I'm sorry, but Elon Musk's suggestion that someday we'll replace prisons with Tesla robots who are assigned to follow convicted criminals around and stop them from doing subsequent crimes is some pretty dumb shit, even by Elon's standards.

Fuck him. No support for Zionists or cowards. Sheep dog piece of shit. Rolled over like a dog when they stole the 2020 nomination from him for “unity’s sake”. No

I think we need to be a little more trusting and believe Schumer when he says he fought to extend the government shutdown. I am currently being kicked in the head by 8 horses surrounding me in a circle such that the rhythm of their kicking perfectly matches the beat of "through the fire and flames".

“The libs are mad” yes but they’re also marks. Willfully credulous marks. Newsome’s gonna edgily dunk on Trump, or Pritzker’s gonna give “epic” speeches and one of them will get carried into the White House on a wave of “please make it stop” desperation votes from previous non-voters

Yeah that’s the point
i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

If you think the govt of the constitution is a thing worth saving, you have two choices:
1) Hope that current dem leadership all dies (functionally) at once without succession in place so young members can seize and wield power
Or
2) Abandon the party and organize independent campaigns

"They want to lose" is the null hypothesis
“People are blaming republicans for food prices and flight cancellations and health insurance costs and are furious about gilded ballrooms and Gatsby parties and the president is falling asleep on tv and is the most deeply unpopular president in history, time to cave” is a hell of an argument

I miss the enclave of esoteric marxists and communist parapolitical researchers on Twitter. It’s nice to never really see overt Nazis, but it sucks to see such a preponderance of accounts who think people with (D)s next to their names are anything but obstacles.

pre-writing a devastating obituary for your enemy is god-tier hating of a kind you don’t often see anymore. renaissance haterism. beautiful stuff.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.
Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."
Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

ain't no rule says a president can't intentionally starve the poor to death. and while that may seem like an oversight, we must go by the words as written. except for they obviously meant to say everyone gets to have machine guns. plus the stuff about fair trials and cruel punishments is just naive

1) Minority group suffers most from oppressive structures which hurt all but the ruling class
2) Minority group articulates the cause of and nature of their suffering
3) Groups which benefit from status quo, but still suffer under oppressive structures, pick up on the portion of said articulation/

It's crazy how a minority group can make/have something made for them and, without fail, people will scrub until any signs of that fact are erased and it's just a grey nothing people wave around

Ultimately, the problem with a social safety net that is contingent on anything more than “a person is asking for the help”, is that you’re selecting for/indoctrinating staff to run it who can sleep at night having ruined a person’s life.

I wish I had the time to sit down and articulate clearly how I got here. “I have ADHD and my abusive partner died six years ago” doesn’t really encompass how hard it’s been to get by since high school

Ok what if I quit my job so I can withdraw from my retirement account? Is that a good idea? If it keeps a roof over my head?
