It is rare that library teams get formally recognized by their universities for their work on metadata in this way. This feels special.

A summary of rumours from multiple sources RE: #ValourFC

- Wade Miller (Winnipeg Football Club) was approached by a buyer, and a deal was drafted.
- WFC demanded stipulations about using the stadium and cuts of concession income
- Buyer balks and walks after additional stips added by WFC

#CanPL /1
I've been vocal about the poor ownership, the passionate supporters, the awkward relationship between the club and the supporters..

I've had seasons, bought merch.. It's been a special place for me, friends and family, a place to share our passion.

I hope #ValourFC isn't done.

#CanPL
Being a Valour FC fan is a tough one. We have an ownership group (Winnipeg Football Club) who owns both a CanPL club and a CFL Team, just like the Hamilton group/Forge.

Seeing the differences in investment, stadium treatment, funding, staffing, marketing, and recruitment is dire.

#ValourFC wasn’t just my second-favourite team because they were the underdog; they were my second favourite team because they were the sole representative of central Canada, the great plains, the connecting thread between east and west, and they had an amazing jersey every year.

A #RemembranceDay #archives thread:
December 20th, 1915 was a day of "rather unusual activity" in the trenches for a young Lieutenant in the 25th Battalion, as Dalhousie ('11) Owen Bell Jones was subject to a "peculiar coincidence", which he relates in a letter to his mentor Archibald MacMechan.
