A long-expected re-read

A lot of rightful reminders at the death of Norman Tebbit over his role as architect of Section 28, which pointlessly ruined the lives of so many young gay people. The same legacy transphobes are doing their damnedest to leave behind today. History always repeats, just shittier.

If you’re drawn to a politician because they promise to be cruel to Muslims or Jews or immigrants or gays or transgender people etc, the least you should do - the absolute, bare bones, still morally vacuous least - is ask yourself whether they’re likely to stop at the group you want to see targeted.
