Agree with all of this - was just chatting to the kids about it. Could have lost two episodes in length this season. The denoument was quite emotional... long, but not too long - as a veteran of Return of the King, theres a high bar.

I've used firesticks for years. What they offer me is extended life for smart TVs whose onboard software has long since stopped working. I'm currently using one with a Samsung TV which is over 10 years old, but the apps for the streamers stopped being updated long ago. A cheap lifeline for old kit

Have also just started. A few chapters in. Hadn’t read Brookmyre for a while, but after those first few sentences, I realised we were back on familiar solid ground.
