The majority of the most talented, creative, funny, kind, etc etc people I have the privilege of knowing and/or working with do not regularly post on social media
I see too many people in my industry get caught up in the idea that social media following = career success and skill and that is so far from it. Social “clout” and craft skill are the farthest thing from one another. Spend that time bettering your work.
way too many people still see follower count as a status symbol of prestige or importance when it's really better understood as the unfortunate, burdensome side effect of trying too hard to make like 8 specific people laugh
