This movie was important to many people for all the reasons. It's so LUSH.
Watching A Room with a View for the first time, mildly surprised to note it’s got more dick shots than Heated Rivalry. And it’s not close.

His wife ain't bright.
The largest generation in U.S. history is in their 70s now. And Stephen Miller’s podcaster wife thinks it’s suspicious that there’s a huge surge in home health aides.

This is the worst timeline.
"And I never say no"

We need to have a serious talk about the way "AI companion" apps not only prey on the vulnerable, but are priming their users to ignore consent and to conflate love with control.

We need AI regulations across so many sectors, but this area is particularly horrifying.

I really struggle with this kind of rhetoric. On one hand, do what you want with your money. On the other hand, come the fuck on.

If ya didn't know Bardot was a racist asshole before you posted about her death, okay. But if ya act shitty when someone points out that she was, in fact, a racist asshole, that's a you problem.

Why is it that tech and AI boosters keep saying "you can't put the genie back in the bottle" when making arguments about AI's supposed inevitable dominance? Did they not read the story? The genie does, indeed, go back in the bottle. Maybe we should start there.

F1 is such a bad movie but also very crowd pleasing. Or the people on the couch with me pleasing, I should say.

The analogy of billionaires as a cancer is one that’s been resonating with me for a while. Some cancers are worse than others! Some create more destruction! But at the end of the day? Still cancer.
We can live without billionaires but billionaires cannot live without us, in the same way that a body can live without cancer, but cancer cannot live without a body.

My sister is in public health and worked night and day trying to protect people and get them to take this seriously. To say nothing of the on-the-ground healthcare workers who went through hell. There isn’t enough scorn in the world.

This will always be Psych for me.

What USA did better than anyone else is ensemble casting. Main characters, side characters, guest stars. Absolute gold.
USA really nailed that type of show, where it was high enough quality to not feel like a guilty pleasure, but not so high quality that it felt up its own ass. So many genuinely FUN shows, which tons of work to offer rad guest stars too. Love a USA network Pretty Darn Good show.

“Let them wang away into the void” is sending me 😂
When I see an unearthed A.I.colyte - one of those earnest young men (and they’re always men) who insist that, no, AI is actually quite wonderful and they don’t see what’s wrong with it nor why the rest of us do - I just block, and recommend everyone else does too. Let them wang away into the void.

The romantic storyline in Hoosiers is so bad. Gene Hackman and Barbara Hershey have all the chemistry of room-temperature water.

How how how did Dennis Hopper never play Owen Wilson’s dad??

Thought I had while watching Hoosiers.

What are you even doing with your time and with your family if you're so busy you can only create synthetic experiences and synthetic memories and synthetic humanity? Maybe do less and live more authentically and you won't have to fake things for appearances.
this is demonic. sorry to say but if you do this you should be shipped to a desert island away from the rest of us who still have human souls

I have rewatched the eighth episode so many times just for that monologue. And for “Blink.” “YES.”

Excellent from top to bottom and deserving of another season.
Still can't believe netflix canceled The Residence. Absolutely trash decision.

This thread. THIS THREAD. Romance makes the publishers so much money and they still shit on it. This is canary in the coal mine kind of stuff when it comes to AI and publishing.
So I am going to say something about romance as a genre.

A lot of people think that romance is ignorable because <insert thing they think about romance> and romance authors don't count because <insert thing they think about romance>.

This thread is not about whether you have to like romance.

This is a letter of the law versus the spirit of the law debate from people who want to be super literal so they can publish silly takes. I have many wonderful friends who adore their wives. They have not and will never be "wife guys." Nothing shocking, sir!
Other articles were more odious this year but for sheer cringe we have a winner
