One time I was going through and on top of the x-Ray machine was a binder. On the front it said, “Do not leave in view of public.” So I called the guy over to alert him of this breach. He looked at me like I was a problem, turned the binder upside down and walked away.
Useless.

Ask me about being on the terror watch list. Or having a TSA agent offer to fight me outside. Or being given someone else’s boarding pass. Or a half dozen other bizarre encounters.
TSA is the worst.

I remember going to the courtyard at the projects in Soundview to stand in line with my abuela so she could sign her name and the guy at the card table would give her that block of government cheese and butter. SNAP kept me and abuela fed.
It was only a few summers for me but it was life for her.
