My wish for all the years ahead is that Nature is taken into account when we are provided data (mostly weather but some news as well) that typically is simply provided with only the effect on humans taken into consideration.
Ex: fog is deeply relied on by redwoods but all we hear is drive carefully.

This seems clearly to be a hole in the stucco of the house wall, not part of the foundation. The cement slab foundation is directly underneath.
It’s unclear to me how a professional management company thinks otherwise, but then we all know they are in love with their bureaucratic powers.

The hardest part is convincing the typically clueless boards of homeowners associations. HOA boards seem to remain clueless to everything (no matter who is elected) but “cost” and “tidiness,” They rarely realize “value” and, even more rarely, that we’re all part of the ecosystem.
Light pollution is a super actionable problem too, one serious environmental issue where you can make a big impact.
