You stay up late on New Year’s Eve to see the ball drop. I stay up late on Christmas Eve to watch Hans Gruber drop.

We are not the same.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is one of my favorite Christmas movies, but it has always seemed insane to me how the whole extended family comes over TEN DAYS before Christmas.

the #1 movie from when you were 10 years old is how your 2026 will go

I guess I’m gonna learn about loving myself as I am.

I need it.
This year's unique ornament comes from a little shop in downtown Glendale called Cactus VHS. @techconnectify.bsky.social and @cathoderaydude.bsky.social would be proud

This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.

I love the progression of Thanksgiving episodes in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Season 1: The kids try to make Thanksgiving dinner for the first time instead of having it catered.

Season 6: Will and Uncle Phil accidentally go to a Jack Shack and miss Thanksgiving dinner because they’re in jail.

Trying a new brine for the Thanksgiving turkey this year.

Wishing the best of luck to the crew today!
As a reminder, this is happening tomorrow! How long before the mind breaks? I don't know, but it's for a good cause.
The second chapter of my Pokémon: Living Dex Adventures begins next Saturday, November 15th in celebration of @extralife4kids.bsky.social's Game Day. All proceeds will go to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Come on by, make a donation if you can, and watch as I slowly lose my mind.

Ringo Starr, the guy that narrates Thomas the Tank Engine.
Patrick Stewart, that one book from The Pagemaster.
I think everybody has a “Wallace Shawn from Young Sheldon” — my first one would probably be “Vincent Price, the guy who did the voice of Ratigan in The Great Mouse Detective”

I just realized the Sony Mavica camera I picked up this week has been through the thrift store circuit at least two times. It’s okay little guy, you’ll have a safe home with me for many years to come.

Wow. It’s truly the end of an era. Back when cable TV ruled supreme, my TiVo really helped me to record and discover a lot of different movies and shows. Even when we had an included DVR with cable, I kept the TiVo because the experience was so much better.

This generic acetaminophen had an Amtrak ACS-64, four Amfleet 1 cars, a Conrail EMD GP15-1, and some Conrail rolling stock in it. The problem is more serious than I thought.
