Now employers are saying minimum wage workers should not earn enough to pay $3.94/day for lunch or to afford to rent in big cities. Albanese supports a real wage rise for these workers, Peter Dutton does not.

If business groups had their way, the lowest-paid workers would now be paid $160 a week less.

The FWC should ignore the fears of business groups and give those on awards and the minimum wage a decent pay rise.

- 12,500 jobs or 42% of Services Australia staff
- Almost 1k jobs or 27% of Veterans Affairs staff
- 2,070 jobs or 21% of NDIA staff
