The actions of Macquarie Uni are deplorable. They have also been dragged in front of Fair Work. The @nteunion.bsky.social uncovered they decided to go “all the way” in forcing 65 highly skilled ppl out of work when they could have achieved their objectives without this pain.
📰BREAKING📰

SafeWork NSW has stepped in to force Macquarie University to make work health and safety improvements to their consultation on proposed workplace changes.

Thanks to NTEU members at MQ who spoke out about the harm of workplace changes to staff mental health and wellbeing.

Gerry Harvey was just asked if workers sould benefit from productivity gains by moving towards a four-day week.
His response: — “No, no, no they need an eight-day week to lift productivity”.
A reminder: Australians work some of the longest hours in the OECD.

Bosses blast union productivity comments as ‘a distraction’
Employers have roasted ACTU chief Sally McManus over her statement that poor management is driving poor productivity, describing it as “misguided” and “wrong”.

@rossgittins.bsky.social is not the only one to have these thoughts

It would be nice if it were true. Employers DO NOT automatically transfer extra money they get from higher productivity to workers. In fact they have been keeping most of it for decades now.

The Wheel of Misfortune where every prize is a cut if you vote for Dutton has been making appearances at polling booths. There is even a “Gina Rinehart special prize” where you lose everything!

Exclusive video of the good people of the south coast scoping out the area for a potential nuclear reactor which happened to be where Peter Dutton was to have his press conference. Siren, Geiger counter and all

This is absolutely happening across the country. Polling stations in marginal seats are being swamped by “Liberal volunteers” who are members of the Exclusive Brethren cult. www.smh.com.au/politics/fed...
Exclusive Brethren are secretly campaigning for Coalition
The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church don’t vote but are sending hundreds of their people to hand out how-to-vote cards.

Hundreds of thousands of working Australians will be getting penalty rates when working over Easter. The bosses are trying to remove them. Labor has just committed to changing the law to protect them forever.
