This was also one of the dumbest things ever said on TV in Australia.
I think every journalist framing this statement by Hanson as a “partial apology” should look up what apology means and realise this doesn’t even come close. This is a refusal to apologise and laying more offence on. Hanson is an absolute outrage and should be condemned.

A report that Comm Bank is spending $200m on sponsoring the Olympics. My post on how isn't it weird how such things are never reported as something that will cause fees/prices to rise, but a wage increase?? Horrors!!

Why do the media treat rising wages as dangerous — but $200m sponsorships aren’t?
Perhaps the most screwed aspect of how the media covers economics and business is how profits and business expenses are written about as though they are glorious things with no losers, while wages gro...

Great bunch of news stories this morning, telling us the system is working as designed.
1. Aged care system declines/delays assessments and provision of assistance sometimes long enough that people die waiting. 2. Pet insurance isn’t worth the cost in premiums. 3. AI steals your voice then your job.

So excited to see this. Let's hope Chris Minns keeps his grubby hands off our writers' festival.
Palestinian-Australian academic to headline Sydney Writers’ Festival
The announcement comes just weeks after the Adelaide Writers’ Week event collapsed following a mass boycott when the Palestinian-Australian academic was dumped from the program.

They're openly talking about scamming elections and we're wondering why a steaming pile of shit like Melania is getting a good Rotten Tomatoes score? Far more likely to be simple fraud that some complex social trend FFS.

The gulf between critics and audience has never been wider – just look at Melania’s Rotten Tomatoes score
Critics have given the Flotus flick 11% on the aggregator site, but the ‘verified ticket buyers’ score is a near perfect 98%. Fake views, or a sign of our politically disparate times?

Congrats to the Financial Review for getting the scoop that Richard Marles is formally a ‘Kentucky Colonel’. Maybe this explains his blind pursuit of Virginia Class subs for the RAN - he’s pitching for a promotion to ‘AUKUS Admiral’. #auspol #AUKUS 👉 www.afr.com/rear-window/...

Sports commentary should always be like this
Incredible commentary from this Swiss announcer, who accurately characterizes the Israeli team as "Self-defined zionist to the core...who posted several messages in favour of the genocide in Gaza...calling it ‘the most morally just war in history.’”

Solidarity to a real one.

Australians are the world’s biggest losers when it comes to gambling. It’s a predatory system - the industry’s business model depends on people losing.

What makes it even more disturbing is the ongoing acceptance of donations, gifts & perks from gambling companies by some MPs & Senators.
