The scale of the protests in Iran are absolutely unbelievable. Hard to quantify, but I've seen some speculation that this uprising is more significant than the 2023 protests (themselves the largest challenge to the regime since it came into power in '79.)

Bij ons in de buurt staan heel erg weinig bomen, maar elke herfst was het genieten van de rode kleuren langs de weg. De bomen die er stonden kleurden prachtig. Tot vandaag. Ineens zijn ze allemaal omgezaagd. Het word elke keer kaler in de wijk. Dank, Gemeente Enschede

Blijkbaar hebben heel veel mensen al een woning (die in 10 jaar tijd het dubbele waard is geworden), gaan lekker 2 keer per jaar op vakantie, elke paar jaar een nieuwe auto... en de rest kan de vliegende turboschijt krijgen. Bedankt, Nederland.
