Truly my new personal political litmus test.
For those asking where we go from here: Not voting to fund ICE is a great place for us to start.

He wasn't a domestic terrorist. A domestic terrorist was the Oklahoma City bomber. This was a VA nurse looking out for his neighbors.

In this moment, we need to stand together in solidarity. There is no one in our community more trusted and beloved than our nurses.

The Minnesota Nurses Association is no exception. I'm honored and humbled to have earned their endorsement.

Wild move, even for Jacob Frey, to hold off on having MPD teargas the crowd until the press conference is ready to roll.

@angiecraigmn.bsky.social was the ONLY Minnesota Democrat to vote for the Laken Riley Act. The only one to vote to praise ICE.

Even today, with ICE in our streets, she stands by her pro-Trump votes.

ICE just indiscriminately stopped a citizen at a bus stop in front of the co-op. If this is how they treat the President of the Minneapolis City Council who is legally observing, just think of what they’re doing to everyone else in our City.

One thing I’d like to see is my senators and governor every day on tv at 5pm holding a press conference with video of every documented abuse that ICE is doing. Curate all of the witnessing we’re doing and show it to the press.
Local parents groups asking if adults can ride school buses to help protect children from ICE after a special ed bus got stopped this morning. Like a Dirty Harry movie except the villain in the federal government.

This morning in Minneapolis, an ICE vehicle got stuck on an icy hill in a residential neighborhood. Agents had to push the vehicles out, some almost slipping in the ice themselves.

Kind of feels like maybe next session is finally the time for #mnleg to talk about privatization and why Minnesota has, for so very long, decided to outsource such a plethora of services that could be administered by local or state government, with greater oversight, and by using union workers!

A reminder that CBS is owned by Paramount.

Paramount’s CEO is David Ellison.

David’s father Larry Ellison is the third-richest person on Earth and a major Trump donor.

“Now is not the time” has been the mantra of the Democratic Party elite for literally the entire time I’ve been alive - and the prominence of that mantra has coincided with Dems destroying their New Deal coalition, losing power, and handing the government over to MAGA

Looked it up, both United and Anthem (now called Elevance) cover more than 44m people. Have they driven down those prices by sheer might Rand? Idiot.
Rand Paul on his healthcare plan: "What if you could join Costco? Costco has 44m members and if one person negotiated for all 44 and they bought a group plan like Toyota or General Motors does, they would be the largest collective entity in the country. They would drive prices down by sheer might."

Just gonna say it: voting yes on the Laken Riley Act but then going on to post about how you oppose what ICE is doing to refugee communities in your state is….disgusting-level pandering.

St. Paul Police going from “we didn’t help ICE” to “we were called to assist” the feds in less than 24 hours. Ridiculous.

Schumer may have voted no but people are tired of the DC dance.

✅ The 8 senators admit they kept him in the loop
✅ The 8 senators that voted yes are not up for reelection
✅ His No. 2 voted yes

We need a new politics with new faces for working people.

🚨 Tim Kaine is saying the quiet part out loud - underscoring why anyone shouldn't be satisfied with any of the "no" statements or posts from Dem Senators.

If Dem Senators are truly disgusted with this save they should be calling on #SurrenderSchumer to step aside as the Leader immediately.

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

This capitulation to Trump is nothing short of a betrayal to the Americans who will lose their healthcare as prices skyrocket. Since we're getting nothing else out of this travesty, we sure as shit better get a new minority leader.
As this vote moves to the House, I stand with Democratic leadership as they refuse to rubber stamp the full-scale Republican assault on Americans’ health care and I am proud of the majority of Senate Democrats who opposed this vote.

Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?
