I just voted HELL NO to giving ICE a single penny.

Congress should not be funding an agency that has terrorized our communities, kidnapped our neighbors, and killed people on the street with impunity.

We must abolish ICE and end qualified immunity for ICE agents NOW.

Grateful for @massgovernor.bsky.social & @massago.bsky.social’s leadership for the 143,000 Boston residents and 1M MA residents who rely on SNAP to keep nutritious food on the table and keep dollars in our local economies. SNAP was not designed as & cannot continue as a state by state program.
Where are SNAP benefits being delivered?

November 1 (left): No SNAP benefits delivered anywhere.

Morning of November 10 (right): If the state/county is a lighter color than the left, at least partial benefits were delivered in the past few days. If it's a darker color, still nothing...

This might resolve depending on the next court case, but I would love to see a map that summarizes which states provided full benefits in November, which provided half benefits, and which provided nothing. Absolutely chaotic.

NEW: A federal judge ordered the Trump admin to fund food stamps in full this month. Pretty quickly, DOJ said it would appeal.

Now, millions of poor families are in limbo, and it is not entirely clear if/when they're going to see *any* SNAP payments in Nov.

If the Trump administration allows SNAP benefits to expire, 140,000 Boston residents could lose vital food benefits that contribute $30 million to our small businesses and grocery stores.

The majority of Boston’s SNAP recipients are seniors, people with disabilities, and families with children.

This is hard for Americans to understand. We've never lived with mass hunger. SNAP & other food programs have been *that* successful that we forgot what problem they solve.

It's kinda like the Dutch going "Huh, we haven't flooded in like 70 years. I guess we can blow up all these dikes!"
